Savings for Single Parents

I know that the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and your kids are getting all excited about playing outdoors. The single parent, being the practical people that they are, must think about winter for a bit before getting all carried away about the upcoming summer season. Now is the time that you can rake in the savings on clothes for your kids for next winter.

If this past years winter coat looks a bit ragged on your son or daughter, pick up a new one for mega savings. Do the same with hats and gloves. You might even be able to find winter boots also. Buying a season or two ahead though takes a bit of practice. You have to be able to estimate your children's sizes for the upcoming year. You are the parent so you have probably gotten pretty good at this along the years. You kind of know how fast your children grow. Do not be surprised if something that you buy does not fit your child next year because sometimes the growth spurt kicks in when you are not expecting it. Be cautious about your daughter's sizes around the ages of 10 through 14 years old. As well, your son is most likely to sprout up around the ages of 11 or 12. This is not written in stone though as all children are different and unique with their own timelines on growth.

Single parents especially have to be more practical about this then the average two-parent family. Severe limitations on income plague the parent with only one income. To be able to get new things for their children at decreased costs is a blessing in disguise. You might not get exactly what you want, but you can find quite nice items that are new by shopping this way. If you do find that the coat that you bought does not fit as you had planned you can always sell it on eBay and use the money to purchase a new one or hand it down to the next child for another year.
